Preparing for your Sunflower Mini Sessions

To help you get the most out of your Sunflower mini session, here’s some information, links and preparation tips that I hope you find useful. Session will be held at Hubert Family Farms on September 17th, 2023

Hubert Family Farms admission into the sunflower fields are $8 per person, 2 and under free. Admission grants you access to fields, petting zoo, and gift shop. $20 buckets are available for purchase to pick and take home sunflowers of your own. They provide the bucket and sheers. Farm address below, there will be signs and employees pointing you in the right direction! They are open until 7 PM.

Things to Consider Day of:

Location Access – The Sunflower field is located just a short walk along a gravel path directly from the car park. You will then pay admission to enter the sunflower field. Please factor in time to park, pay, and to walk to the photograpy area.

Time and Temperament – Mini sessions are wonderful for small children and summer weather, but 15 minutes isn't enough time for some kids to warm up. If you need to arrive early to have your children get a feel for the environment and weather, or watch me take photos of the session before yours, factor that in on arrival time.

When should we arrive? - Please aim to arrive 10-15 mins in advance of your session as unlike my full sessions, these will run back to back throughout the day and any missed sessions cannot be refunded. I will try to stay close to the admissions or somewhere easily visible, but there is a chance I might wonder off with the previous session to find the perfect spot. Feel free to bring props - Ex. blanket to sit or snuggle in, hats, accessories, etc. But the farm has a few props/swings/benches/a bathtub scattered across the sunflower area that we can also use!

Don't stress though, these will be so much fun!

After Your Session

Once your session is over you'll receive a digital proof gallery with all of your edited images from you session within two weeks of your session. You will then get to select the 10 images that are included in your session price. Additional images will be $10 per image. Once you have selected and paid for all additional images, you will have two sets of images that you can download: High Resolution (Use for ordering any physical prints) and Web/Social Media (best resolution for sharing via the internet). I will also link each gallery to my professional lab that I work with for the option to order prints/canvas right from your gallery. You will also be provided a print release so you can also download your high resolution digital images and take to any printing lab of your choice. All of this will come straight to the email provided, so keep a look out there!
